Hello, my name is Jo Williams and I am the Faculty Program Manager for Kaplan Schweser, a partner of the Duke University Executive Certificate in Financial Planning program. Along with Nancy Kimberly, Program Director of the CFP® program at Duke University, I am responsible for the selection and hiring of adjunct faculty to teach in the Duke program.

Duke successfully launched a CFP Board registered program in September of 2003. The Duke University CFP® education program is offered in an alternate weekend format and the program is held both in the Research Triangle Park and in Durham at Duke University. The nine-month Duke program allows students to complete the CFP Board's education requirement to qualify for the CFP® certification examination.

One of the strengths of the Duke program is the quality of the instruction. We are actively recruiting local instructors (CFP Certificants only) for the Duke program. This program encompasses six modules. These modules are:

• Fundamentals of Financial Planning and Insurance (48 Hours)
• Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management (36 Hours)
• Taxation of Persons, Property and Other Entities (36 Hours)
• Retirement and Employee Benefits (36 Hours)
• Estate Tax Planning (32 Hours)
• Capstone Case Course in Financial Planning (28 Hours)
