  • Experience
  • Ethics

Course Instruction, Test Preparation: The complete five-module curriculum is offered in a 12-14 month program. Course instruction helps individuals grasp the subject content, take practice tests, and practice calculations of financial products. Individuals must pass the module test before progressing to the next module.

Course Format: Each course is delivered over a six to nine-week period. Classes meet four to six hours per week for a total of 36 instructional hours. The last six hours serve as a review of the module. Courses are taken in sequence.

There is a four to six week break between modules. This allows individuals time to take the module exam, enjoy a break, and begin preparing for the next module.

Corporate Classes: Guilford College works with companies and organizations to deliver classroom instruction to their employees. Many financial planning firms require CFP certification after a number of years with the firm, and the investing public is beginning to ask financial planners if they have the CFP certification. Because of this increased demand for the certification, companies are taking an active role in helping their finance professionals earn the CFP certification. Contact Beth Parks at (336) 316-2266 or bparks2@guilford.edu to discuss customized training for your organization.
