The Financial Planning Association is the preeminent advocate on behalf of the financial planning profession and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals. FPA actively promotes the legislative, regulatory and professional interests of the financial services profession before Congress, the 50 state legislatures, and federal and state regulators.
What services does the Government Relations Department provide for the local FPA groups and individual members?
- Informs local FPA groups and individual members of current trends and changes in compliance requirements, particularly in the securities area.
- Coordinates comment and lobbying efforts with local FPA groups on issues of state interest.
- Promotes best compliance procedures for the financial planning profession.
- Provides assistance in helping members more fully understand their compliance needs.
