Elder Financial Abuse Prevention Call-In

Dear Colleague:

We need your help for a national hotline initiative!

FPA has teamed up with Investor Protection Trust, Investor Protection Institute, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine, National Adult Protective Services Association, and health care professionals to provide a day of free advice and guidance on how Americans can protect themselves and loved ones against investment swindles and financial abuse, with a special focus on the elderly. We are coming to you as someone who deals with this issue daily…and you are in an ideal position to help others.

We cordially invite you and your FPA colleagues to participate in the Elder Financial Abuse Prevention Call-In on Thursday, November 10, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST as financial planning expert resources for callers. FPA members will provide answers to general financial planning questions; help callers identify financial professionals who put their interests first; educate callers on how to protect themselves and their loved ones from financial fraud; and encourage callers to start a conversation about money with their adult children or older parents to prevent elder investment fraud and financial exploitation. As a volunteer, you will be able to help individuals and their families understand – and avoid – elder financial abuse. Learn more about the Elder Financial Abuse Prevention Call-In. View Kiplinger’s special report.

How can you help? Volunteers will be organized via a national network, which means you can call in from anywhere in the country. We hope you can commit two or more hours to answer calls. Please contact Ryanne Enyeart if you would like to participate or need additional information.

Please help us make a real difference where it will really count!

Thank you,
