State Treasurer's Financial Literacy Program
The NC State Treasure's Office and the FPA of Charlotte and the FPA of the Triangle are working together on a state-wide pro bono project.
All FPA members are invited to join this test pilot launch in October.
We will be advising teachers and staff at a high school in the area, we need 12 FPA members to support individuals interested in using Money 101 to enhance thier financial literacy. The faculty and staff will attend an information session on September 28th and sign up on Money 101. Faculty will then be paired with a trained volunteer to help create a road map to achieve financial goals. There will be a follow-up phone meeting in November and two sunsequent phone meetings around the first of the year. FPA has already provided the chapters with Release Statements. We anticipate that much of this will deal with cash flow, debt analysis and prioritizing on how to best utilize their money.
If you did not attend the Pro Bono Boot Camp and are unable to attend the Money 101 Training, you are still invited - we'll fill you in or match you with another member.
This and other Pro Bono opportunities will be available, so don't miss this opportunity to learn how to join this great volunteer exoerience!
NO solicitation is allowed.
